Fail-o-rama

God damn you, weekend! God damn your enticing allure of wine, beer and song! God damn your ability to render me lazy, pissed and useless!!!!

Missed Ab- smash. AND wrestling. Whoops.

Also, drank rum, wine, beer and Bailey's. And ate a Chinese buffet. Oh dear.

Bodypump tonight to redeem myself. Maybe I will punish myself with a bit of Spinning beforehand also. Let's see if I've got the balls.

On the Deck





So I missed Circuits cause of work so had the choice of Spinning, Legs Bums n Tums or Karate. Didn't fancy any of those so decided to do a Deck o Cards workout. Freestylin in the gym!
It's the first time I've ever done that. I've always sort of admired those people doing their own thang, whether it be with free weights or a stability ball or just weird exercises and stretches on a mat. I always thought I'd feel a bit conspicuous but I didn't at all. Just busted out my phone, got my cards app on and smashed the burpees, squats, sit ups and proper manly press ups out in approx 26 minutes flat. Job's a good un!
Tomorrow I'm out in Tod after work so the good little fitness blogger I am, I'm gonna have a swim at the pool next to work before I go. I'm shite at swimming so just going to see how I get on. I'll try as many lengths as I can in about 45 mins.

I always feel a bit like I'm drowning when I'm swimming. Wonder how many I will manage?

Combatted!

Body Combat, WOW! I'll be doing that shit again!



Kick ass MMA style moves to a pumping beat, what's not to like? Hard work too, but varied enough to keep you motivated. Enjoyed!

But, the best was yet to come. At my gym there are scales dotted around everywhere, free to use. Stepped on one, I'm 6 pounds lighter than the scales at home tell me. Hmm, I think. Curious and curiouser.

So I have a shower and then get on another different pair in the changing room. Same. I'm 11 stone 4, not bloody 11 stone 10 like those twattin posh Aria scales were telling me!

Halle-bloody-lujah. Yeah, not exactly svelte but also not the unbearably fat moose I thought I was turning into! Haha!!

Tomorrow...Total Circuit Training.

A Bad Start????

Somehow I have put on 2 pounds OVERNIGHT. Those wireless Aria scales are shite, they even make Pete fat. They were expensive, I bought them to sync with my FitBit which I LOVED but have bloody lost. So you can link them to MyFitnessPal which I have done but now they are wildly inaccurate and make me want to launch them out of the window.

Gonna start using the scales at the gym for a hopefully more accurate progress report!!

Gonna post my first set of before pics today as well.

This blog is to support my wrestling exploits. Jonny at GPW has told us we need to get in shape, as folk don't want to pay £9 of their hard earned cash to watch blobs in the ring.

Yeah, wrestling training is hardcore shit, but it's only 3 hours a week and that won't cut it!

Somehow I'm back up to 11 and half stone. 'Somehow' meaning a huge and out of control dairy binge due to a terrible almighty vegan FAIL.

So I've sorted out my diet, joined a decent gym and am all set to get this mission ACCOMPLISHED!

I'm going to chronicle my successes and inevitable failures on here to keep me motivated. I'm going to post progress pics to chart my rise from rotund to ripped! I'm going do this shit and rise mighty and triumphant!! Rah!

My new gym has plenty of kick ass classes I'm going to sample and I'm hoping to get a few Deck o Cards ( look it up!) workouts in as well. Did my first one of those at wrestling on Sunday, FUUUCK! Although after I had smashed the full 52 cards one of the guys asked me if I was in the military! Boo- yah!! Now I just need the physique to match......

So, tried Bodypump for this first time last week. Bit weird to get used to at first with all the fiddling round with weights....AND I felt a total tit during the dumbbell section when I realized that I had fucking BABY weights or something...but yeah, it was good. Hard. Painful! Clearly doing something.

Mondays are a massive NO-NO as far as training is concerned, it takes me so long to get over Wrestling on Sunday that often I can't train Tuesday as well, as is today. All that boinging off those hard ropes has left me with a fat, bruised back. Nice!

So tomorrow will be next. Gonna hit the Body Pump and then the Body Combat straight after.

LET'S AVE IT!

Also, doing FLIP BUMPS in wrestling on Sunday. Basically flipping up In the air and landing on your back. On the hard floor of the ring.

Will I ever be bruiseless again???? It's bloody Xmas season gonna look like a right dirty old crack wench in my party frock!
